The idea in one sentence

A standard lodge is formed from two insulated panel room boxes — a living unit and a bedroom unit — connected on site to create a complete holiday lodge.

Window openings are cut on site to match your design, and window frame kits — rectangular or long-form — are available for a clean, professional finish. That combination of factory precision and on-site flexibility is the heart of the concept: you are not locked into a single window pattern, and you are not starting from a pile of loose materials either.

Why insulated panel room boxes change the build

Most lodge programmes still treat the envelope as a sequence of trades: frame, wrap, insulate, board, weather, finish. Each layer depends on the last. Rain, labour availability and site access all add time.

Our modular lodge kits reverse that. Kingspan QuadCore® insulated panels already combine structure, insulation and a durable metal facing in a single component. The room boxes arrive as pre-manufactured units. The remaining work is connection, openings, finishes and services — not building the thermal envelope from scratch.

Excellent thermal performance

Kingspan QuadCore® is a next-generation hybrid closed-cell insulation core. Typical thermal conductivity is around 0.018 W/m·K — generally about 11% better than a high-quality standard PIR core. In practice that means lower U-values for a given thickness, more stable internal temperatures, and lower running costs for operators. Guests stay comfortable all year. Parks spend less keeping them that way.

Strong, low maintenance and durable

The panels used on commercial and industrial buildings for decades are the same family of products we specify here. Metal-faced QuadCore panels are tough, weather-resistant and built for a long service life. For a holiday park that means fewer fabric repairs, less painting and less time out of the rental calendar.

Faster construction

Pre-manufactured panels and a simple build process shorten the programme. That matters when you are adding units between seasons, working around existing guests, or trying to have lodges earning before the next school holiday. Less time on site also means less weather risk.

Flexibility of layout

The standard two-box lodge is the starting point, not the only option. Layouts and design choices can be adapted to the pitch, the target guest and the look of the park. Window positions are decided on site. Frame kits give a finished appearance without a custom joinery lead time for every opening.
